This blog is the thoughts and writings (ramblings on music, movies, sports, news, random thoughts, and maybe even some “creative” writing, if I have the guts) of a guy who has been taking the scenic route in his young adult life and is set to get a bachelor’s in English anywhere between 1 and 15 years from now. Then he will go on to try to be a writer of some sort, in some capacity, but will probably end up teaching English at some underfunded public junior high school. Typical. [Insert accompanying song: MuteMath – “Typical”] He has also worked a fairly large number of eclectic jobs in his short life. He figures that when one finally “succeeds” or “makes it,” you usually don’t have the freedom to experience different jobs; so it would be good to try out jobs before he becomes super-duper-uber-successful (or, he just needs the money).

You’re a very interesting read! Hope you keep posting.
Hello Michael. Thanks for your posts. I was trying to think of something witty to write on one of your blogs, but instead I realized that I have not listened to popular music in 385 years. I too am on the 15 year college degree program, currently in year 10. I am gonna stop by here often, see ya around!
You said you might try to become a librarian. I wrote a post on becoming a librarian that you might be interested in. http://ericjennings.wordpress.com/2007/03/23/interested-in-becoming-a-librarian/ I don’t know what type you might be interested in, but if you’ve got questions feel free to contact me.
Surely, writing is your calling. We’ll keep reading. On top of that, you like Radiohead. That song by Timbaland is the absolute theme of a lot of young men juggling school, jobs, finances, and, oh, yeah, girls. Or wishing they were juggling girls??? Did you know most of those girls out there are thinking something very close – the no money, no car, gotta a billion obligations thing, that is. Just checkin’.
Oh yes…I know plenty (like 2 or 3, personally). But apparently those types are nowhere to be seen or heard in any Timbaland production. But even if those girls are at those clubs, I think you’ll agree that “I ain’t got no money” is not a good opening introduction that will pique their interest, whether the girl is a gold-digging leech or a smart, independent (and maybe poor), socially conscious young woman.
You haven’t told us your age. Yet. You know, there are people out there who can easily fall in love with words. Your words.
Ciaos 🙂
P.s Don’t stalk my IP address…don’t block me. Or I’ll open a can of whoop ass on you. Kidding of course. Sorry, this girl has no humour whatsoever.
Keep posting. Stay true.
I’ve been sort of avoiding replying…I didn’t know if I should be scared that you’ll whoop my ass or flattered that you like my blog. And I thought there was some unwritten rule that you shouldn’t reply on your own “about” page…which I already violated earlier on here. But whatever…it’s my about page.
I did check the ip address and found out you were in Australia. Australia’s an ocean away from here…so I figure I’m safe. Welcome to my blog! I promise I won’t block your ip address (I don’t even know how to do that), as long as you don’t whoop my ass. (oh…or stalk me, I forgot to add that. Believe me, my words aren’t that great. At least not stalk-worthy quality.)
i tried to stalk you but i couldnt find you anywhere else but on this blog (yeah, i looked for you on facebook. creeeeeepy)
I’ve been meaning to get a facebook account…I actually started one and deleted it. But I plan on signing up again…I think it’s inevitable. So don’t worry, soon you’ll be able to stalk me on there…if I don’t stalk you first…!
Hey man,
First of all, I’m from the Philippines. I “accidentally” discovered your blog late last year while I was checking out another blog. And the rest, I must say, is history.
Gotta admit that what drew me to your blog is first of all the music stuff you’re offering. Thanks to your blog and I get to discover new artists (the non-mainstream ones) who perform great tunes as well. And of course your blog entries are oozing with insights that captivated the attention of blog surfers like me.
More power to your blog. Cheers!
